The Community Development staff of the Hidden Valley Lake Association would like to thank the event sponsor, staff, volunteers, as well as the entire HVL community for supporting the HVLA Easter Egg Hunt held on Saturday, April 15. Over 300 eager children turned out (despite the wet and chilly weather) to quickly scoop up the 7,000 eggs that were hidden on the Historic Stone House lawns. Each child also received a goodie bag of Easter candy. The Easter Bunny made an appearance, and gave over 100 children (and some adults too!) the opportunity to get their picture taken with the Bunny. Donations for the photos went to the HVLA Parks Committee. The HVL Crafts Club delighted the attendees with their wonderful display and sale of splendid springtime crafts.
The Egg Hunt s success would not have been possible without the generous support of our sponsor and event helpers. Their commitment continues to make this annual event a wonderful experience for the community. I m please to extend an enthusiastic thank you to Carson Underwood of Hidden Valley Lake Realty for once again donating the eggs and candy for the event.
Special thanks goes to the many youth and community service volunteers who helped: Nathan Camburn, Dolan Camburn, Mary Deutsch, Nicole Young, Adriana Townsend, and Jessica Rickman. Thank you to the adults who helped with the event: Hector Gutierrez (as the Easter Bunny!), Kathy Welch, Isabelle Nicholes, Tracee Allen, Officer Tom Stricklin, Officer Ed Giovannetti, Officer Dave Hutchinson, Dan Fish, Rick and Shannon Archbold, and Russ and Donna Sage.
Finally, I would like to thank the HVLA office staff, HVLA Greenview Restaurant staff, HVLA Crafts Club, HVLA golf maintenance staff, HVLA Office of Security and Safety, HVLA Parks Committee members, and HVLA maintenance staff for their fantastic assistance. I look forward to seeing everyone again at next year s event.
