On behalf of the fourth-, fifth- and sixth-grade teachers at Burns Valley Elementary School in Clearlake, I would like to thank the community for their help in the success of our Talent Show and Hot Dog Dinner.

This was a fundraiser for our fourth-, fifth- and sixth-grade students to go on a field trip to Six Flags/Marine World in June.

Thanks to Wal-Mart for donating a barbecue grill that helped us to earn over $750 selling hot dogs, chips, drinks and desserts. We had a capacity crowd for our talent show and an outpouring of support of the school community greater than the staff members could ever recall in the history of Burns Valley Elementary School. We had so many parents, families and friends there bringing desserts and supporting our students who participated.

It was a wonderful night full of talent and fun, especially the Tiger Singers (made up of part of the school staff) who were able to bring the night to a cheering close.

A huge thank you to all that were there, I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. A community is people that help each other and our Talent Show Night was definitely a community event. Thank you for being a part of it!
