Lillian Lorraine Gardiner died peacefully May 6, 2006, in Lakeport after a short illness. She was a seven-year resident of Lakeport and a 50-year resident of Petaluma.

Born in Iowa, Feb. 5, 1923, Lillian moved to California in 1941 and was employed by various federal agencies. She also worked for Ray Rossi Insurance and McLaughlin Jewelers in Petaluma.

Lillian was a 50-year member of Order of Eastern Star and of Petaluma Methodist Church and also a life member of Petaluma Women?s Club. She was currently a member of Kelseyville Methodist Church.

Among her life?s enjoyments were traveling with her husband. She also was an avid pinochle and bridge player.

Predeceased by husband William Gardiner in 1994. Survived by son, Charles (Linda) of Lakeport; grandsons, Shawn of Lakeport and Kelly (Joann) of San Diego, granddaughter, Lisa (Brent) Kangas; and great-grandson, Jaden of Cloverdale; sister, Charlotte Merry of Petaluma and brother, Larry Larson of Port Orchard, Wash., also a niece and nephews and other relatives.

Memorial services are at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 11 at Chapel of the Lakes Mortuary, 1625 North High St., Lakeport, CA 95453.
