Through the great efforts of the following individuals and groups, the Terrace Middle School is able to sponsor two students in Kilimambogo, Kenya to attend high school.
Those who went above and beyond to help me set-up for the car wash/bake sale/yard sale were: Lori Underwood, Eric Underwood, Becky Lawler, Ruth Darling, Erin Hagberg and Lasaine Hamilton.
For the car wash efforts, I want to thank those customers that came to support our cause and thank them especially for their patience as well as their very generous donations. Also, to the kids who helped today ?my hat is off? to you. You?re a great group and will do great things. Thank you for giving up a Saturday to help others who need your help.
Thanks to: Susie Darnell for the use of the classroom at Natural High School; Lincoln-Leavitt Insurance Agency for the car wash facility; parents for donations of baked goods and yard sale items and to the Lakeport Rotary members for their generosity. Also thanks to Dr. John Madej for the ?Children of Strength? presentation, it raised interest.
