Jack Alwyn Jameson 80, was born on Sept. 29, 1925, at home in Lakeport. Jack passed peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on May 10, 2006.
His life was an example of his commitment to his faith, family and community. A native of Lakeport, Jack treasured being a part of any family gathering. He was active in the United Christian Parish and the Big Valley Lion?s Club, and particularly enjoyed visiting and calling on people who were unable to get out. Jack attended local school activities, especially when his grandchildren were involved. He loved gardening, outdoor activities, and traveling.
Jack is survived by his wife, Joanne, of 54 years; sister, Alma (Wes) Lampson; his children, Lynn (Steve) Kesling, Ann (Myron) McKee, David (Mei-Ling) Jameson, Lisa (James) Ryan and Aaron Jameson; grandchildren, Adam Kesling, Jeremy, Rebecca, Bethany, Emily, Mary, Benjamin and Tommy McKee, Amber, Heather and Erik Jameson, Matthew and Brooke Ryan; great-grandchildren, Raelyn and Jordyn Bucy; nephew, Gary (Michael) Lampson; niece, Kathy (Dick) Howard; and a large extended family.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Edna Jameson; brother, Robert Jameson and grandson, Leif Jameson.
A Celebration of Life service in honor of Jack will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 12 at the United Christian Parish, 745 Brush St. in Lakeport.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the United Christian Parish, Big Valley Lion?s Club, or Lake County Hospice Services.
