CLEARLAKE OAKS — The Clearlake Oaks/Glenhaven Business Association is sponsoring the 23rd annual Catfish Derby on May 19-21.
Known as “the largest catfish derby west of the Mississippi,” the event features an adult derby and a kids derby for fishermen 16 and younger.
The grand prize winner in the adult division will receive a new boat, motor, and trailer.
Derby headquarters is the Clearlake Oaks Fire Station, 12655 East Highway 20, and will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Derby headquarters also will be open for pre-registration from noon to 11 p.m. on Thursday.
The derby runs from noon May 19 to noon May 21.
Registration is $45 in the adult division and $10 for the kids derby, which includes a T-shirt.
