LAKEPORT ? There have been recent incidents involving suspects impersonating City of Lakeport Public Works employees. The suspects dress in orange public works style clothing and claim to be authorized by the city to spray people”s yards in exchange for cash.
These individuals do not represent the City of Lakeport. The public should know that city employees would not ask for money jn exchange for services, and that the suspects in question do not actually provide the service they are claiming to provide.
Anyone being contacted by someone claiming to be a city employee and asking for money, should contact their law enforcement agency, 263-5615, as soon as possible.
