A Quarterly Duty Report for Public Works was recently provided to the Clearlake City Council. Public Works Superintendent Jim Hale and his crew were commended for their diligent work in attending to the infrastructure needs of the city. “A job well done to Jim Hale and all of his crew,” was extended by all members of the council as well as by citizens of Clearlake appreciative of the services provided by the Clearlake Public Works Department. The report provided covers the months of January, February and March of this year. It describes work in 10 categories, which are considered to be the department”s most time consuming operations. However, the list should not be seen as the department”s only responsibilities. The categories are calculated in days with the exception of signs, which are taken care of case-by-case during normal working hours. According to the report the Clearlake Public Works Department performed the following: * Road Grading — two days; * Pothole Patching — 20 days; * Ditch/Stormdrain/Culverts — 25 days; * Parks — four days; * Code Enforcement — five days; * Equipment Maintenance — two days; * Tree/Brush Trimming — six days; * City Hall/City Buildings — five days; * Crosswalks (paint) — zero days; and * Signs — 19 hours.
