As a resident of Lakeport and a citizen of the USA I attended the Cinco de Mayo festivities at Library Park on Sunday.
I feel this is our country and that we try to support the Mexican people where we can, I felt shut out of this program.
No English was spoken.
I asked the master of ceremony to interpret in English what was happening on the stage and was sluffed off.
I will not again support this type of protest against our way of life here in the U.S.
In America, learn, speak fluent English, then become a citizen like all our forefathers had to do. This is how our nation began.
