LAKE COUNTY ? The woman who was killed Monday afternoon on Highway 20 near the Mendocino County line was an 84-year-old woman, Betty Jeanne Seach from Clearlake.
A CHP report indicates she was driving a 1976 Toyota camper when she suddenly turned left into the path of a 2001 Peterbilt tractor-trailer driven by an Arkansas man, Bret Clary.
The two hit head-on and the tractor dragged the Toyota camper down the highway. Neither he nor his passenger were injured in the accident.
As the Toyota camper disintegrated, parts of it hit two other vehicles, a car driven by Everett L. Duty Jr., 33, of Kelseyville and a Ford driven by Robert Peterson of Cotati. Neither the drivers nor their passengers were injured in the wreck, which happened shortly after 3 p.m.
