Jeanie Holden will always be remembered as a beautiful, giving and generous person, loving mother, grandmother and a wonderful friend to many. She was born in Lima, Ohio on Jan. 23, 1932. She, her parents, aunt, uncle and grandparents migrated to the Santa Clara valley (San Jose) in the 1940s. She raised two daughters, was employed at various firms including IBM, and made numerous close friends over the years.

After more than 40 years in San Jose, she moved to Lake County in 1988 along with her two daughters and son-in-law. Jeanie”s home was always the gathering place where friends and family could come for fun and laughter, or just to talk and find a caring listener. After moving to Lake County, she continued to make many new friends and hosted weekly bridge sessions in addition to teaching bridge. All who knew her know that if she had anything and you needed it, it was yours. Her gifts to all of us were her patience, her teaching ability and the unconditional love we all received.

Jeanie passed away May 17, 2006.

She is survived by daughters, Laura Schroedel and Barbara Hulsey; son-in-law, Curtis Hulsey; three dearly loved grandsons, Ryan Schroedel, Keith Hulsey and Craig Hulsey, all of Kelseyville; father, Linwood Burkholder of Ohio; aunt, Glendora Daves of San Jose; cousin, Dorothy Hogan of San Jose; sister, by heart Ruth Queen; nieces; a nephew, and many dear friends.

Jeanie was predeceased by soul-mate Bill Veazie.

Jeanie insisted that when this tune came her family and friends should celebrate her life with joy and laughter.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. June 3 at daughter Barbara”s home, 9216 Yaquima, Clearlake Riviera.

May God Bless and Love You Forever Mom.
