LAKEPORT ? The drivers of a cement truck and a tractor had a rough start to their day Tuesday, when their vehicles collided along Scotts Valley Road.
The California Highway Patrol reported that Alejandro Gregorio, 23, was driving the tractor ? towing a sprayer ? and turning left onto Scotts Valley Road.
Gregorio was preparing to turn into a row of pear trees; as he was turning a cement truck driven along Scotts Valley Road by Scott Beverlin, 30, hit the tractor.
CHP Officer Greg Baxter, the first officer at the accident scene, reported that Gregorio was thrown 10 feet away from the tractor and was taken to Sutter Lakeside Hospital, but he suffered no serious injuries.
Officers reported Beverlin was shaken up by the accident but he sustained no injuries.
Lakeport Fire Department helped with traffic control as area residents made their way to work.
