My husband and I, along with many of our friends, grew up here in Lakeport. It makes us sad and upset to see all those new homes, garages and fences going up along the lakeshore. They completely block out the view of the lake.
We can remember when that road was the main road before the highway was built. I do not think houses or fences or private piers should be allowed on the lake side of the lake. I thought it was a public lake. How did it happen?
The only answer I can come up with is “money talks.”
And about the respect for privacy ? please, respect our privacy while we fish, swim and boat on Clear Lake.
