Correction:

The May 17 article, “Rattlesnake Island: ?archaeologically significant””, incorrectly reported the date that John Nady purchased the island, which actually took place in 2003. Also, the state”s Office of Historic Preservation has received 75 letters in support of the island”s nomination for listing on the National Register of Historic Places, not 400. Dr. John Parker”s doctoral dissertation also was incorrectly stated as having been focused on the Elem Colony.
