Lottie Ann “grandmother” Bobo passed away peacefully in Clearlake on May 26, 2006, with family and friends by her side.

Lottie was born Nov.10, 1903, in Indian Territory, now known as Row, Okla. She was one of the last documented Cherokee Indians registered on the Dawes Roll of 1905. She had been a resident of Clearlake since 1959. She was an accomplished seamstress who enjoyed crocheting and quilting. After retiring to Clearlake her other passions became gardening, canning, baking homemade pies, cobblers and cakes and making homemade ice cream. She enjoyed having family and friends over so she could cook a large meal and prepare enough food to feed an army. The last few years she had enjoyed her yearly birthday celebrations with family and friends that became a tradition.

The mother of eight children, she was preceded in death by husband, Jack Bobo and four children: Lloyd, Kenneth, Pauline and Clyde McClelland.

She is survived by sons, Everett and Gene McClelland of Carson City, Nev., Bob McClelland of Sparks, Nev. and Dean McClelland of Sonora. She also is survived by numerous grandchildren including her grandson she raised from birth, Michael Holland of Folsom.?

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 31 at Jones & Lewis Clear Lake Memorial Chapel; with graveside services to follow at Lower Lake Cemetery. The family requests that donations may be made to Hospice Services of Lake County.
