LAKEPORT ? The Clear Lake High School Band won three awards following Saturday”s Memorial Day Parade, sponsored by the Lakeport Regional Chamber of Commerce. It won the Grand Sweepstakes, Theme and Judges Choice awards.

Other award winners are as follows:

Division I, Floats:

Best of Division: Lake County Shrine Club and The Buckhorn Club, tie.

Commercial: The Buckhorn Club, first; Lake Community Bank/Umpqua Bank, second; and Piedmont Truss Division, third.

Fraternal/Service organization: Lake County Shrine Club, first; Lakeport Elks Lodge, second; and Big Valley Grange, third. Lakeside AGLOW won first in the “Other” category.

Division II, Vehicles:

Best of Division: Lake County A”s.

Classic: Ron Bertsch, Lakeport, first; Thomas Garage Doors, second.

Clubs – Cars & Motorcycles: Lake County A”s, first; Christian Motorcycle Association and Corvettes of Lake County, second; ABATE Local 28, third.

Contemporary: Bob Lininger, first; Lakeport Christian Center, second; Pat Sperling, third.

Other: Carl Thompson, first; Konocti Electric Auto Association, second; and Kulture Shock Car Show, third.

Division III, Groups:

Best of Division: Sutter Lakeside Hospital.

Public Service: Sutter Lakeside Hospital, first; People Services, second; Lake County Democratic Committee, third.

Senior: Konocti Kuties chapter, first; The Red Hats, second.

Sports: Lakeport Speedway, first.

Division IV:

Not judged.

Division V:

Junior: Best of Division: Luanne”s Gymnastics.

4H-FFA: Scotts Valley 4-H, first.

Other: Luanne”s Gymnastics, first.

Divion VI, Music:

Music: Best of Divison: Clear Lake High School Band, and first-place in the “Bands” category.

Division VII, Costumes:

Best of Division: Edward Smith and Caryl Pearson, tie.
