Opal Marie Couch, age 77, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2006, in Lakeport. She was born May 24, 1929, in Carlton, Wash. Opal had previously lived in Sonoma County for 38 years and was a member of the Early Ford V-8 Club of America.

Opal is survived by her husband of 58 years, Don Couch of Upper Lake; son, Darwin (Irene) Walters of Santa Rosa; brothers, Dale (Sharon) Smith of Redding, Darrell (Eileen) Smith of Hermiston, Ore., Kenneth (Gwen) Smith of Tacoma, Wash.; sister, Rosealie (Frank) Walters of Ellensburg, Wash.; daughter-in-law, Pearl Walters Fender; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by son, James Donald Couch, and grandson, Troy Otis Walters.

A Graveside Service will be held at 1 p.m., Monday June 5 at Upper Lake Cemetery.
