LAKEPORT — The Terrace Middle School softball team beat Mountain Vista Middle School in its final game to cap unbeaten season in 2006.
The Lady Vikings finished up at 11-0.
“At no point in the lineup did we have a weak spot,” Terrace coach Jen Goff said. “We set high expectations for these girls and they did not diappoint us.”
“The team was so well-balanced, from the hitting, to the pitching, to the fielding. They played as a team,” assistant coach Kory Reynolds added.
The team”s top five batters were Mauriana Jor-dan with a .667 batting average, Logan Brodnansky (.480), Brianna Butcher (.480), Megan McDonald (.478) and Katie Reynolds (.308).
The Vikings” strong pitchings staff consisted of Reynolds, Rylie Gabehart and Liz Sanderson. They combined for 113 strikeouts.
