Norma Barker, age 75, a Fort Bragg resident and formerly of Lake County, died on Sunday, May 28, 2006, following a long illness. She was born Dec. 28, 1930, to Ray and Ruth Moody in Napa.
Norma was raised and educated at Middletown, then married her husband, Howard, in 1954.
She worked for two years for the County of Napa, then for 38 years in Lake County; the last 19 years she was the Lake County Controller, retiring in 1992.
She was a 60-year member of the Eastern Star and is remembered by friends and family as a talented pianist.
She is survived by her husband, Howard Barker of Fort Bragg; daughters, Lisle Stilwell of Dallas, Texas, and Dana McDonald of Lucerne; and by her uncle, Theodore Hobson of Los Angeles.
Private inurnment was arranged by Chapel by the Sea, Fort Bragg.
