Having served on a school board I have great sympathy for the Kelseyville Unified School District Board. All this noise about a recall over the mascot”s name is ridiculous. And you can bet Clayton Duncan is laughing, too. You are fitting right into his plans by making a mountain out of a mole hill with this school mascot name.
You had an entire month to protest the change, but you think all ex-grads from Kelseyville High School should have been contacted individually? Who was going to pay for that? Get a life, guys.
I put my vote with the board, and applaud Mary Morse (president of the Kelseyville Business Association) for her comments to the Record-Bee, stating this was not an issue with the majority of the business owners. It”s not with the majority of people I”ve spoken with either.
Let”s put this silliness aside and let the board get on with the good job they”re doing.
