Robert Emmett Buckley, age 78, passed away May 16, 2006, in Clearlake. He was a three-year Lake County resident, formerly of Castro Valley. Robert was born May 6, 1928, in St. Paul, Minn.
He served in the U.S. Army in Inchon, Korea. A graduate of the University of Minnesota Medical School, he was a psychiatrist for 37 years. Robert had offices in Livermore and Hayward and was on the staff of Eden Hospital in Castro Valley until his retirement in 2002.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Dorothy Buckley of Clearlake; step-son, Ted (Barbara) Balin of Clearlake; three step-grandsons and two step-great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Rose Volberding of Bellevue, Wash. and Catherine (Ed) Wilkowski of Seattle, Wash.; two nieces; two nephews; five grandnieces; and one grandnephew.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 14 at Meadowood Nursing Center in Clearlake.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Habitat for Humanity or a charity of your choice.
