LAKEPORT Lakeport Police are looking into what they believe to be a drive-by shooting that occurred late last month.

At approximately 3:40 a.m. May 28, a single bullet was fired from a vehicle in an apparent drive-by shooting into a Sixth Street home.

“We don”t believe this to be a random incident,” reported Lakeport Chief of Police, Kevin Burke.

Burke added that he does not believe it was gang-related.

“We have a few leads,” Burke said, and the incident is still under investigation.

If anyone has information on the case, contact Lakeport Police Investigator Norm Taylor, 263-5491.
