Debbie Bridges, thank you so much for speaking up for those who are serving in the military. We were sad when we read that you heard such negative comments about those currently serving our country. It is especially disheartening that the person or persons who made the comments did so on Memorial Day.

Our son is proudly serving his country in the United States Marine Corps. He considers it an honor to serve. He is currently stateside but will be doing a second tour of Iraq in a few months. We, too, so wish that we lived in a world where our son would never have to put himself in harm”s way to protect us.

Not only do those in the military put themselves in harm”s way, they often miss special birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, etc. They also sometimes miss the births or other milestones in the lives of their children, and these are things that they can never get back.

We are so proud of, and grateful to, our son and all those who serve our country and willingly make such huge sacrifices so that we can continue to remain free. We join you in prayer that our Heavenly Father would watch over these brave men and women and keep them in His tender care.
