LAKEPORT Lakeport Elementary School officials held an awards ceremony Thursday for third-grade students who have had perfect attendance.
While the awards were being given away, music teacher Antoinette Goetz directed the third-grade classes, who delighted the audience with music from their recorders.
After the ceremony, the third-graders enjoyed a watermelon feed, a 20-year tradition, sponsored by the school”s Parent Teacher Organization. There were tables filled with watermelons for everyone to enjoy.
