KELSEYVILLE — The Sonoma State/Kelseyville High School 2006 girls” volleyball camps take place July 18-20 at the Kelseyville High School gym.

Two camps are offered. Camp A is for girls entering the sixth, seventh and eighth grades in the fall. Check-in time is 8:30 a.m. and camp hours are 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The cost is $95. Camp B is for girls entering the ninth, 10th, 11th and 12th grades in the fall. Check-in time is 1 p.m. and camp hours are 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. The cost is $95.

Sign-ups are on a first-come, first-served basis. Each camp is limited to 24 players. There will be registration at the door only in the event that spots are still available.

The camps are designed to meet the needs of each athlete. Passing (overhand and underhand), spiking, blocking, serving, individual and team offensive and defensive formations and team play are emphasized.

Campers are assigned to ability-level specific groups. There will be individual training in all skill areas and controlled scrimmages.

Camp directors are Sonoma State women”s head coach Bear Grassl and Kelseyville varsity coach Larry Bresso.

Campers need to bring broken-in tennis shoes, shorts and kneepads to the camps. Water and sports drinks are provided.
