The Board of Directors of the Upper Lake Community Council would like to thank the community of Upper Lake and all the others who once again helped us have a successful Wild West Day. For 13 years our community has been lucky enough to have Jill Perry, who is one of the founders of the event, along with Debbie Hablutzel and Byron Green and a crew of about 10 others who work almost 36 hours straight so this event can happen. Without them our day could not be possible.
We can say this was our most successful year ever. Thanks to the community, the merchants, the fire department and its auxiliary, schools, local organizations, musicians, parade entrants, judges, Americorp members, local newspapers and radio station and the department of the County of Lake, who have supported us in our efforts to make this a major fundraiser for the Upper Lake Fire Department and the Upper Lake Community Council.
The Community Council”s effort in helping to revitalize, redevelop, preserve and beautify Upper Lake can only be done with the great community support we have. It”s great being part of a community where one person does make a difference. You are welcome to visit us at www.upperlakeca.com to see what we will be doing with our funds.
So it is with great pride that we thank everyone who helped put on this event and an extra “thank you” to the merchants, who not only paid to be sponsors and also paid extra for the radio ads that helped make this the biggest event Upper Lake has seen in along time.
