The opinion letter appearing in the Record-Bee on Saturday, May 13 by Raphael Montoliu was very informative. It should be an awakening for the readers of the opinion page in the Record-Bee because it spells out in a limited way the incompetence of the present controlling administration (Republican), corporations, etc. I say it”s a needed awakener.
Using the basis of his letter I would like to expand on his presentation with a twist of direction. Concentrating on the neoconservatives (flubbed attempts) in their fantasy to cut all benefits and put each citizen on his own, it behoves all people to realize the end results of such actions.
Known facts (presumably by some but not all) how the expansiveness of money is working in favor of “Bush” and company at the expense of tremendous debt being forced on our people one and for all. First the tax cuts he has given to the rich with “damn” little to the middle class on down is from borrowed money. We don”t have any firm assets. This country is on a gigantic merry-go-round, which involves the following players: namely banks, corporations and the ultra rich, etc. How does this scheme work? It”s simple as I am sure that any scheme complex would be difficult for them. The rich sans proper taxation hold and increase their assets next investing and saving use the banks. Their input is using the asset deposits of the rich for loan value. Corporations and companies and other businesses borrow these funds (loans). Thus a perpetual merry-go-round interest debt is of no concern of all involved they are all making money. The stock investors with their monies also help the beneficial cause of the above bunch. The normal investor (Joe Citizen) is lucky to make a reasonable return.
In summation, it becomes obvious that the GOP party members who are looking for decency and common sense will not find it under their present administration. Get involved or get out of a party that loves to use its members for their own gains.
Honesty is a lost cause.
