Evelyn Almeida Charman, age 87, died peacefully at her daughter”s home on May 22, 2006. She was born June 6, 1918, in Koloa, Kauai, Hawaii. Evelyn was known to many as “Grandma” she was a hardworking homemaker who loved to crochet and made many beautiful treasured heirlooms.
She is survived by her relatives in California: son, Calvin Charman and daughter, Camille (Roger) Gouldberg; grandchildren, Charmaine (Gary) Weldon, Dallas (Eric) Shaul, Isadora Gouldberg and Luke Gouldberg; great-grandchildren, Brenden Shaul, Maile Weldon and Kai Weldon; and relatives from Hawaii: son, Conrad (Jodi) Charman; son-in-law, William Aiwohi; grandchildren, Jodie Aiwohi-Dudoit (Darren), Danielle Boudreau (Keith), Eric Aiwohi (Laurie), Dylan Charman and Emily Charman; as well as great-grandchildren, Michelle Boudreau and Reese Aiwohi.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Charman, and daughter, Priscilla Aiwohi.
Private services for family and friends will be held at Camille”s home on June 25.
