Now that the dust has settled and we have celebrated our year-end Harvest Party, serving a magnificent salad that we picked, washed, tossed and dressed with a vinaigrette that we prepared from our herb garden, along- side the broccoli soup and snow pea soup made from vegetables that we also picked, washed and prepared, the Kelseyville Elementary School Garden Club would like to offer their most heartfelt thanks to all of you, the incredible members of our community, who so generously supported our “Give A Kid A Garden” program.
You have donated all types of important materials, shared your time, energy and enthusiasm, and as restaurants, wineries, artists and volunteers, you provided the many necessary ingredients to create a fundraiser called “Art in the Garden,” which allowed us to raise money for a shade pergola, so that we might have tables in the garden where we can do the reading and writing associated with our studies.
Someday we may even be able to invite you to a fundraiser luncheon under the pergola in our garden and serve you something wonderful that we have grown and prepared for you.
We are all very thankful to have neighbors in our community just like you. Keep your eye on us; we are going to make you proud!
