A statement read into the U.S. Congressional Record by U.S. Congressman Mike Thompson honors Carle High School educator Alan Siegel for his selection in 2004 as one of five California teachers of the year. Joined by local dignitaries, Thompson visited Carle on Wednesday, May 31.
Thompson read his statement into the record on Tuesday, May 30, from the floor of the 109th Congress, Second Session.
Carl? educator Angela Siegel, who was Lake County Teacher of the Year in 2005-2006, received a Certificate of Congressional Recognition from Thompson and, from Lake County Superintendent of Schools Bill Cornelison, a “Schoolmaster of the Year” award that is presented in Northern California counties.
Alan and Angela Siegel both credited Carle and its students for the honors they had received. “This award is really for all of us,” said Alan Siegel and Angela Siegel agreed, “Without you being such wonderful students, none of us would be honored.”
