William Louis McKissick, 81, died Saturday, June 17, 2006, at St. Helena. He was born May 2, 1925, in Mississippi to Leonard and Winfred McKissick. He had lived in Clearlake for the past 15 years. He enjoyed country music and singing karaoke. He was a naval veteran of World War II.

Survivors include three sons, Steve (Vivian) McKissick of Pontotoc, Miss., George and Andy McKissick of Clearlake; daughter, Lottie Harris (Richard) of Russellville Ark.; four sisters, Betty Grace Swyen of Oklahoma City, Okla., Shirley Ratliff and Francis Herring of Tupelo, Miss., Jo Ann Chabez of Newark; two brothers, Stan McKissick of Oakland and Dale McKissick of Tupelo, Miss.; 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, Billy Wayne McKissick; mother, Winfred Smith McKissick, father, Leonard McKissick and sister, Dorthy Warner.

Visitation is from noon to 4 p.m. Friday, June 23 with funeral service following at Jones & Lewis Clear Lake Memorial Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hospice charitable organizations or Gideon Bibles.
