LAKE COUNTY — A Lake County Board of Supervisors-appointed task force, created to study issues involving mobile home parks in unincorporated areas of the county, has held its first organizational meeting.
The task force is led by Supervisor Chair Tony Farrington of District 4 and Rob Brown, Supervisor of District 5. Anita Sombs of Sterling Shores mobile home park, Bob Letus of Perks MHP, both in Lakeport, and Gregory Cavness of Country Club MHP in Lucerne, have been appointed to investigate problems for homeowners. The mobile home park owners are represented by Ron Bartolucci of Kelseyville, MaryAnn McQueen of north Lakeport and Rick Bryan of Arcata. An impartial member is yet to be appointed.
To qualify for the position, an impartial or neutral person cannot live in a mobile home park or be the owner of a mobile home park. Anyone interested in serving on the task force in this capacity is advised to contact Farrington at 263-2368.
The task force”s next meeting is set for July 7, 1:30 p.m. in conference room C on the third floor of the Lake County Courthouse. The meeting will be highlighted by a discussion of the results of a survey of rents and other fees charged by the county”s 106 mobile home park owners.
