I was very grateful to see your good coverage with a front-page color photo of Hero, the dog who was so severely neglected and picked up by Animal Care and Control. Chris Holmes, the veterinarian at Wasson Clinic, has been treating the dog who was undernourished and lame due to allegedly hundreds of fox tail weeds in all four feet. The dog”s weight is half what it should be, but he is gaining fast.
This dog will need treatment for some time to begin healing and becoming a normal dog once more.
