KELSEYVILLE — A Saturday night concert ended with Tasers being deployed, six people arrested ? three for public intoxication and three for fighting with police officers — and three law enforcement agencies responding.

Near the end of the Three Doors Down concert Saturday night at the Konocti Harbor Resort and Spa amphitheater, the Lake County Sheriff”s Office (LCSO), who were near the amphitheater”s front entrance, were called by the resort”s security personnel to respond to a physical fight that had broken out between two women near the restrooms in the lower parking lot.

Another altercation had developed in the resort”s upper parking area at the same time, which LCSO Sgt. Jim Beland and Reserve Deputy Roth Shilts responded to.

LCSO”s Sgt. Mike Morshed responded to the fight in the lower parking area and had to physically detain Jennifer L. Pacheco, 21, of Lakeport, who was arrested and charged with public intoxication.

While detaining Pacheco, Morshed twice observed another individual, later identified as Charles Cunningham, 20, of Rohnert Park, attempting to fight with several other people, but at the time, Morshed was unable to deal with him. according to a LCSO report.

After handling the incident in the upper parking lot, Beland and Shilts arrived at Morshed”s location several minutes later when Cunningham reappeared and was again attempting to fight with a large group of people.

All three of the LCSO deputies approached Cunningham to arrest him for “challenging someone to fight in a public place,” but Cunningham ran to a parked limousine and jumped inside.

When the LCSO deputies approached the limousine, they were confronted by numerous adult women and men who were attempting to block their way and deny access to Cunningham.

The men and women were directed to stay back and to not interfere with the deputies — but did not comply, according to the LCSO.

As Morshed leaned into the rear door of the limousine asking Cunningham to step outside, two of the men who were trying to block Moreshed jumped on his back and began to fight the deputy.

The two men, both from Lower Lake Brandon M. Costlow, 20, and Casey J. Costlow, 18, and Cunningham, were arrested and charged with resisting a peace officer and battery on a peace officer after they all reportedly fought with not only Morshed, but Shilts, Beland and Konocti Harbor security personnel.

LCSO reports that, “several Tasers were deployed and everyone was eventually arrested for a variety of charges,” and that during this incident, the Clearlake Police Department and also the California Highway Patrol responded for a total of approximately 15 units.

Following this incident, two other arrests were made for public intoxication at the concert, but they were unrelated to the fight with the deputies.
