UPDATED:

This is an open letter to Congressman Mike Thompson.

I am writing in regard to your recent visit to Middletown. You will recall that I raised the issue of the 9/11 attacks and the fact that three buildings at the World Trade Center collapsed that day. Anomalies and shocking scenes were filmed, videoed and otherwise documented by mainstream news sources. Apparently many people still do not realize that a third building, a 47 story steel-framed skyscraper in the complex, Building 7, collapsed completely, straight down into its own footprint later that day. A recent Zogby poll revealed that 43 percent of the people surveyed were not aware of the collapse of Building 7. I did point out that I thought it suspicious that we do not hear about Building 7. Unlike the towers, Building 7 collapsed from the bottom.

I asked you to comment about Building 7. You replied that you “have never been a conspiracy theorist.” I then pointed out that my concern was not about a conspiracy but that it was about a building that collapsed. You simply restated that you “have never been a conspiracy theorist.” I did not ask you if you have or have not been a conspiracy theorist. This is not about theory. It is about reality. You did not respond to the information and the facts that I presented about Building 7 except by dismissing them and brushing them aside.

I have been unable to find an explanation for the total and virtual free-fall collapse of Building 7 in the 571-page 9/11 Commission Report. The building apparently was not hit by planes and appeared to have only small fires. In fact, I have been unable to find any mention of the collapse of Building 7 in the report.

There is more about Building 7 that I did not discuss due to time limitations. Information and question-raising videos of Building 7 are included on the DVDs that I delivered with duplicates to your aide the day you made a brief appearance at the Democratic barbecue last fall. The DVDs include much more information about other still unexplained, visually obvious events and on-scene witness accounts that are blatantly missing in the 9/11 Commission Report. I also included a copy of David Ray Griffin”s book, “The New Pearl Harbor.”

Thomas Jefferson declared, “A democratic society depends upon an informed and educated citizenry.” To have an informed and educated citizenry requires that reasonable well-researched questions and concerns receive a reasonable, well-researched response.

Conduct your own research and draw your own conclusions, but do watch the DVDs and read the book.

Don”t forget to write!
