Grace Mae White passed away July 5, 2006, at the age of 80. She was born and raised in the vicinity of Highland Springs where she spent all of her childhood years. She worked three years on Mare Island Naval Shipyard in the supply building doing clerical work during World War II. She worked 29 years and two months for California Highway Patrol in Lakeport. She retired in 1982. In 1946 she married “Irving” Tommy White.
She is survived by two children, son, Bob White of Santa Rosa and daughter, Barbara (Bob) Rentsch of Lakeport; two grandchildren, Todd (Carol) Rentsch of Kelseyville and Shannon (Michael) Saiz of Lakeport; one great-grandson, Cole Siaz; and one sister, Norma Jean (Sam) Bologna of Manteca. Grace enjoyed RVing, gardening and hobbies among many other things. She and her late husband always had pets that were considered family.
