Beloved mother

Lorraine Helen Montalbano, a 30-year Lake County resident, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2006, at the age of 67 after a long battle with cancer.

Lorraine was born Feb. 2, 1939, in San Francisco, California. Lorraine attended Balboa High School where she graduated in 1957, and a short while later she moved to Lake County.

Lorraine was a very fun-loving person who loved to travel with her daughter Victoria, boyfriend Dan, friend Brenda and sister Eleanor. Lorraine was well known for loving to cook with friends and family, and having big parties. Lorraine also was very well known for her wild side when it came to balloon and glider rides. Lorraine always made her home a beautiful garden sanctuary that was a place of peace, birds, flowers and charming sound.

In Lorraine”s spare time she would knit and paint animal or water scenes for the house. Lorraine loved to take long walks in the country or along the beaches. Lorraine and Victoria did many things together that no other mom would do with her daughter. Lorraine left a void that can never be filled.

Lorraine is survived by her daughter, Victoria Torres; her longtime boyfriend, Dan Cameron; ex-husband, Theodore Torres; sisters, Doris Eggerding and Eleanor (Art) Torres; nieces, Deborah (Alan) Michaels, Sherri (Ed) Rhodd and children Monique and Nicholas, Julie (Bill) Cygan and kids Jack and John, and Marcie Torres; nephews, Art Torres III and kids Art and Ashley, and Josh Michaels; cousin, Michael Weber; and all the Montalbano family.
