COTATI — Westshore”s Lance McCloud probably would like to take the first inning back after spotting Windsor a 5-0 lead in the top of the first on Friday evening during opening-round play in the double-elimination District 35 Junior League All-Star Tournament in Cotati.

Windsor went on to beat Westshore 18-8, setting up a do-or-die game today for the Westshore All-Stars, who play Petaluma American in an elimination contest at 11 a.m.

After spotting Wind-sor an early 7-1 lead, Westshore battled back, drawing to within 10-8 after four four innings. But Windsor pulled away by scoring eight unanswered runs over the final two innings.

Ryan Richardson, Ryan Lunas and John Carerra had two hits apiece for Westshore. Lunas and Richardson also scored twice and Lunas had an RBI.

Other Westshore batting leaders were Corey Dillon, who went 1-for-3 with a double and an RBI, Kevin Burt, who went 1-for-3, and Jared Ashworth, who went 1-for-2 with a run.

Dillon starts on the mound today for Westshore.
