HIDDEN VALLEY LAKE — Southshore defeated Westshore 8-6 to win the Lake County Area Championship in the 9-10 Little League All-Star Tournament, which concluded Saturday at the Hidden Valley Lake Little League complex.
Middletown-Cobb, Kelseyville and Willits also participated.
Prior to beating Westshore for the title, Southshore beat Kelseyville and Westshore in early-round games.
“These players and coaches reached this milestone with perseverance and teamwork,” according to manager Dillon Stiles, who celebrated his birthday on Saturday. “This is the best birthday present ever. I will never forget this day.”
Next up for the Southshore All-Stars is the District 35 Tournament in Petaluma. They play Petaluma Valley in a first-round game today at 5:30 p.m.
