LAKEPORT — The final installment this year of Cardinal Soccer Camp hosted by the Clear Lake High School girls” soccer program takes place Aug. 7-10 on the fields behind the school gym.
The camp is for boys and girls between the ages of 6-14. Camp hours each of the four days are 9 a.m. to noon.
This is a great opportunity to get ready for the youth soccer season as most teams will begin practicing soon. The $60 registration fee includes a camp T-shirt. A family discount of $5 is available if two or more campers register from the same family.
Instruction will be provided by Clear Lake High varsity coaches Ken Wagner and Paul Larrea. They will be assisted by several Clear Lake varsity players.
The camp emphasizes basic soccer skills, offensive and defensive play, and team concepts. It”s a great opportunity for younger players to learn basic soccer skills while developing a positive attitude in a fun-filled environment. There will be various contests, individual awards, snacks and game play each day.
Registration forms are available at the Lakeport Unified School District office through Aug. 4. Campers may also register the first day of camp. Phone 262-3000 for more information.
