Leland “Lee” Abercrombie, a resident of Ukiah, passed peacefully July 9, 2006. Leland was born March 19, 1924. Lee served in the Army Air Corp from 1942 to 1945. He worked as a machinist all his life. He began working for Enterprise Machine Shop of Lakeport, then went to Masonite in Ukiah for 31 years, and finally retired from Ukiah Machine and Welding. Lee was a Clear Lake High graduate.
Lee is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Carol Waite Abercrombie of Ukiah; daughter, Betty Cleveland of Kelseyville; sons, John (MaryAnne) Abercrombie of San Leandro and Dean Abercrombie of Fairfield; six grandchildren, Chad and Dana Cleveland, and Ben, Mike, Kelly and Shannon Abercrombie; and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday July 13, at Kelseyville Cemetery.
