Arbor Education and Training hosted a family afternoon for its clients on Wednesday, June 28 at Yuba College”s Clear Lake Community campus. The topic was “Summertime Safety” and the Lake County Fire Protection District was on hand to provide safety tips to children and parents regarding not only fire issues but also other safety problems that could arise in the home. A fire truck and rescue vehicles were available for those in attendance to tour. Arbor E&T contracts with the Lake County Department of Social Services to provide services to residents in Lake County receiving CalWORKs/Welfare to Work support. LCDSS and Arbor E&T work closely together to assist their clients in becoming self sufficient, obtain full time employment and eventually being able to exit the system.
Hands-on lessons in fire safety
