UPDATED:

The world should applaud Israel. Instead, so many countries are finding fault with the Israelis. One reason is so many countries are afraid; afraid they may somehow antagonize the Muslim people. With one of the main tenets of the Koran being to kill or convert all the non-Muslims, how do you get them any more “antagonized” than that?

Another reason is so many countries are embarrassed, embarrassed because Israel is doing what so many countries should be doing. While many governments like those of France, Spain, etc., have a policy of “placating the terrorists”, Israel has a policy of “eradicating the terrorists”. They do not wait to be attacked and then run to the corrupt, weak and useless gang of crooks and cowards called the United Nations. They take it to ?em.

Another reason so many find fault with Israel is because the people of Israel stand behind their troops. And because of that they have one of the most well run and responsive armies in the world. American men and women are also fighting a really tough war. It is made even tougher by civilians sitting behind nice, safe desks, putting even more restrictions on them. Our troops are doing such a truly incredible job and definitely do not receive the accolades or the backing they deserve.

Our troops would love to think the United States government would respond like the Israelis did when their troops were kidnapped. But, hell, the Islamic terrorists could kidnap a whole division of troops, and between President Bush and the American media, nothing would happen. They would somehow come to the conclusion it was the fault of the Americans and then look for someone to apologize to.

As a combat veteran of Vietnam, I am aware of feeling somewhat less than vigorously supported by the United States government. We need to support our troops and we need to support Israel.

God bless Israel.

God bless our troops.

God bless the United States of America
