James Lloyd Jensen, age of 84, passed July 26, 2006. He was born in Oakland on June 3, 1922. Jim was raised in Lake County and graduated with a degree in agronomy from UC Davis.

He served in World War II as a Paratrooper.

Jim moved to Sebastopol in 1968 and owned Jensen”s Nursery. He remained active in many organizations during his retirement in Lake County. He was a 50-year mason of the Masonic Lodge, and a member of Hartley Lodge in Lakeport, as well as a Shriner. Jim loved to hunt, fish and garden.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; he is the loving father of Alan (Donna) Jensen, Kenneth Jensen and Nancy (Carl) Santos, all of Sebastopol, and Brian (Beth) Jensen of Illinois; brother, Bob (Elenor) of Vacaville; and sister, Florence (Dick) Hofman of Alameda.

Preceded in death by his loving brother, David Jensen.

Family prefers donations to the Children”s Shriner Hospital or charity of your choice.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 1, at Chapel of the Lakes Mortuary, 1625 High St., Lakeport.

A visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 31.
