On July 19 around 9:15 a.m., while at Kmart in Lakeport, I was loading up some things in my car. I had to take out a very large Rubbermaid container which I sat down on the island by the garden department. The container was full of arts and crafts materials for my groups here at Mental Health.
I was distracted and drove off, leaving the container full of my group materials by mistake. I came back within 10 minutes and it was gone.
I checked with the service desk at Kmart and all registers (where an honest person would have turned it in), but to no avail. The Record-Bee”s ad director, Leslie Firth, graciously ran a three-day ad trying to get back our supplies, again, to no avail.
I want this person to know that many clients now will suffer for your selfish act of taking all of our materials. I worked so hard scouring the many stores to get the best bargains and to keep the costs down to have lost it all to someone who obviously doesn”t care about other people. All you had to do was to turn it into the service desk so I could have picked it up since I had returned so quickly.
Please return our materials either to Lake County Mental Health, 991 Parallel Drive, or at the Lakeport Kmart store, where everyone there knows what happened so I can pick it up.
