KXBX radio crew, Shayne Morton, left, and Paul Thomas were out in front of Perfect T”s on Wednesday, July 19, promoting BoardStock XI on the streets of Clearlake. The crew has been qualifying participants for its “Grand Theft Auto” promotion, which is in collaboration with DFM Stereo. The green “Sony Xplod” car has been making regular appearances throughout Lake County giving contestants a chance to qualify for ownership. The radio crew anticipates more than 100 semi-finalists will qualify (by breaking into the car) for a chance at the title. During BoardStock XI at Konocti Harbor Resort & Spa, nine finalists will be given a key, one of which will start the car. The last chance to qualify for the giveaway, will be at Konocti Harbor on Friday, Aug. 18 during first day competition at BoardStock XI. The winner will be determined just prior to BoardStock XI closing ceremonies on Sunday, July 20.
