The Lower Lake Schoolhouse Museum”s 13th annual Quilt and Fiber Arts Show will take place in Weaver Auditorium from Friday, Aug. 4 to Friday, Aug. 25. The show, sponsored by the Schoolhouse Preservation Committee and the Clearlake Quilt Guild, will showcase quilts and wall hangings from local artists as well as historic quilts.

Also featured will be weavings by world re-nowned artist Shelia O”Hara. O”Hara teaches weaving in her Lower Lake studio and many of her students will have pieces on display.

The public is cordially invited to participate in this extraordinary show. New and historic quilts and other fiber art pieces will be accepted at the museum until Wednesday, Aug. 2.

An artists” reception will take place from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5. This is a great opportunity to meet the artists, share information and ideas and network. Light refreshments will be served. The exhibit can be seen during regular museum hours, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and there is no admission charge.
