Please join us and celebrate an evening of art, fun and entertainment when the Main Street Gallery hosts a reception for artists presenting their work in the Gallery”s new show and August”s First Friday Fling. Festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. and continue to 7:30 p.m., with Burt Hutt entertaining us with song and banjo.

This show features a wide variety of talent that include two families that are showing together in their collection. Mother and daughter, Bobbie Bridges and Katie Folk presenting their watercolors, and Evie Gray and her father Hartley Mulhouser with his work in wrought iron. Another new artist at the Gallery is George Waterstraat with his beautiful presentation of handturned wood vases.

The Student Gallery is excited to present the work of a number of first time artists. We have three students that are home schooled from Waling Sun Ranch, Tanner Mansell and Anna Sobolone showing wonderful new talent in a variety of mediums. Look for wonderful pieces of jewelery created by Floyd Surber in Turquoise and Jade and Madelene Lyon”s work. Other wearable pieces of art of hand painted silk by artist Diana Liebe are also part of the exhibit. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet the artists and share in this evening of entertainment and art.

Editor”s Note: Shelby Posada is executive director of the Lake County Arts Council.
