* Vietnam Veterans of America chapter No. 951 is holding a yard sale, beginning at 9 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 6 at 2101 S. Main Street in Lakeport. Multiple truckloads of sale items have been donated by members of the community and the VVA will continue accepting donations during the day”s event.

* Clearlake Elks Lodge No. 2299 will be having its monthly youth activity breakfast from 9 a.m. to noon on Sunday, Aug. 6 at the lodge, located at Old Highway 53 and Crawford Avenue. The lodge will be serving omelets made to order, eggs any style, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, sausage or bacon, toast, cottage fries, juice and coffee for only $5 per person and $2.50 to kids 12 and younger. This event is open to the public. All proceeds go to help our youth.

Tuesday, Aug. 8

* The Lake County Board of Supervisors meets at 9 a.m. every Tuesday except for the fifth Tuesday in a month in Supervisors” Chambers at the Lake County Courthouse, 255 N. Forbes Street in Lakeport. Meetings are broadcast live on PEG Channel TV8 and rebroadcast the following Sunday.
