Water skiers from around the world competed out of Redbud Park in Clearlake on Saturday, July 29 and Sunday, July 30, in Race No. 5 of the National Marathon Series. Skiers were vying for advancement to the next qualifying race, to be held in Las Vegas, ultimately in pursuit of a spot at the World Championships, which will take place in New Zealand. Above, spectators get a close up look at one of the speedboats registered in the competition, while a Clearlake Oaks emergency crew stands by ready to lend assistance if necessary.
